The Congress party has slammed the BJP-led central government over a notice to vacate its office at 24 Akbar Road in Delhi by March 28.
Lok Sabha MP Imran Masood accused the government of trying to silence the party by creating pressure.
Congress MP Pramod Tiwari described the government as 'not democratic' and said the party will act on the notice after holding discussions.
The Akbar Road office has been the party's headquarters for 48 years, but a new office was opened at Kotla Marg last year.
