Puducherry Congress president V Vaithilingam has released the party's list of 16 candidates for the upcoming 2026 assembly elections.
The list includes prominent candidates such as DPR Selvam from Mannadipattu, P Karthikeyan from Oosudu, and V Vaithilingam from Thattanchavady.
The party has also fielded candidates in other constituencies, including Muthialpet, Ariyankuppam, and Karaikal North.
The announcement follows a seat-sharing agreement between the Congress and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), under which Congress will contest 16 of the 30 seats.
Congress and DMK are also alliance partners in Tamil Nadu, where the Chief Minister MK Stalin-led party has allotted the Congress 28 of 234 seats for the 2026 Assembly elections.
