A court in India has denied anticipatory bail to Nida Khan, a prime accused in the alleged sexual exploitation and religious coercion case linked to the Tata Consultancy Services BPO in Nashik.
The court deemed Nida Khan's custodial interrogation necessary, citing her serious offense and crucial leads discovered by the probe agencies.
Nida Khan had sought pre-arrest bail, citing her pregnancy, but the court rejected her application.
The police custody of four other accused in the case was extended till May 5, and eight persons have been arrested so far, including a female operations manager.
The allegations against Nida Khan include hurting a woman's religious sentiments, changing her name, and persuading her to convert to Islam.
Nida Khan's family had earlier claimed she was not working in the HR department but was employed as a telecaller in the sales team.
