Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is expecting flight delays due to a thick layer of fog that has enveloped the national capital. According to a passenger advisory issued by the airport administration, CAT III conditions remain in effect, with all airlines required to stay in contact with airport authorities for the latest updates. The advisory warns of potential flight delays due to the dense fog, which has also led to a significant drop in temperatures. The India Meteorological Department reported a minimum temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning, a new record for the season. Air quality in the city has also deteriorated, with the Central Pollution Control Board recording an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 361, categorizing it as 'very poor'. Several areas across Delhi have recorded AQI levels above 300, with Nehru Nagar reporting the highest pollution level at 426. Airport officials are working closely with stakeholders to minimize the inconvenience caused to passengers. Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines or visit the airport's website for the most up-to-date flight information. The airport administration apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the understanding of its passengers.
