Two men were arrested in connection with the alleged assault of a 53-year-old Army Brigadier and his son in Delhi's Vasant Enclave.
The army officer and his son had objected to the duo drinking in public outside their residence, police said.
Satender, 49, and Sanjay Sharma, 56, have been arrested and their Mercedes vehicle seized.
The incident occurred when Brigadier Parminder Singh Arora and his 23-year-old son Tejas Arora went out for a walk and saw the two men drinking inside a Mercedes-Benz parked outside their home.
They contacted the police, but a junior-rank officer allegedly did nothing to stop the assault.
A case has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and Delhi lieutenant governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has expressed serious concern over the incident.
