A shocking incident unfolded in Delhi's Laxmi Nagar, where a 52-year-old businessman and his family were brutally assaulted by a group of men in a dispute over the ownership of a gym in their basement. The family's 26-year-old son was dragged out of his home, stripped naked, and beaten in the street, with the attackers hurling abuses and kicking him. The businessman's wife, who wishes to remain anonymous, has come forward alleging that she too was a victim of the assault. She claims that she was slapped, kicked, and touched inappropriately by the attackers, who also allegedly beat her husband with an iron rod inside the gym. The wife expressed her outrage, saying that the incident was deeply humiliating for the family and questioning whether it was less than a rape. According to the wife, the dispute over the gym began in 2016 when the family hired Satish Yadav, one of the accused, as a caretaker. However, he allegedly took over the gym and refused to leave despite multiple legal notices. When the family tried to remove the lock from the gym on Friday afternoon, they were met with violence. An FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including assault, wrongful restraint, and criminal intimidation. One of the accused, Satish Yadav, has been arrested, while the others remain at large. Efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining accused persons. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many condemning the violence and calling for justice for the family. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
