Ex-WAPCOS CMD Booked Over Son's College Fees & Travel Expenses

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Rajni Kant Agrawal, former chairman and managing director (CMD) of WAPCOS, for alleged financial irregularities.

According to the CBI FIR, Agrawal's son Manan's college fees and air travel expenses were paid by project managers from different offices of WAPCOS and NPCC.

The FIR states that ₹2.5 lakh was paid to Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) towards tuition, hostel and advance fees for Manan Agrawal by the Chandigarh office of WAPCOS.

Apart from RK Agrawal, the FIR also names 'unknown officials' of WAPCOS and NPCC in the list of accused.
