In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the nightclub fire that claimed 25 lives in Goa, a court in North Goa has ordered fresh medical examinations of Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, the co-owners of 'Birch by Romeo Lane'. The brothers were produced before the court after being deported from Thailand, where they had fled following the December 6 tragedy. The Luthra brothers were initially taken to a Primary Health Centre for medical examination before being transferred to a hospital, and later to a police station. Their health check-up, which took over an hour, was followed by their production in court. The duo had been arrested in Delhi on Tuesday after being deported from Thailand, where they had been detained since December 11. An Interpol Blue Corner Notice had been issued for their arrest, and their passports had been cancelled. Five other managers and staff members have already been arrested by the Goa Police in connection with the fire, which occurred at the Luthra brothers' nightclub. The brothers face charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among others. The investigation into the fire continues.
