Delhi is set to take to the skies with the launch of hot-air balloon rides, starting November 29. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has partnered with a private agency to offer this unique experience from four locations: Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games sports complexes, and two sites along the Yamuna Bank at Asita and Baansera. According to Lt. Governor VK Saxena, the rides will offer breathtaking views of the city's natural landscape, riverfront, and cityscape. 'I tested the ride and was happy and satisfied,' Saxena said, assuring that the rides are safe. Each balloon will be secured with four ropes, each with a capacity of seven tonnes, allowing it to soar to a height of 120 feet. The rides will be available for four hours a day, with sessions ranging from 7 to 12 minutes and accommodating up to four people per ride. The ticket price will be ₹3,000 per person, excluding taxes. The DDA has chosen the best time of year for this venture, as the peak season for ballooning in North India is from November to February. This exciting new attraction promises to enhance Delhi's tourism potential, providing residents and visitors with a unique aerial experience. With the DDA's commitment to innovation and entertainment, the city is ready to take flight and offer unforgettable experiences to its citizens and guests.
