The Indian government has called an all-party meeting on Wednesday, March 25, to discuss the ongoing conflict in West Asia caused by the Iran-US war.
The meeting comes amid the Opposition's criticism of India's stance on the global tensions and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent address in the Lok Sabha.
According to sources, the all-party meeting will take place at 5 pm tomorrow in the Parliament complex.
The move follows a review meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday, where he discussed the conflict with top military officials.
Prime Minister Modi addressed the conflict in his Parliament address on Monday, assuring the country that the government was working to minimize its impact.
However, his speech was criticized by Opposition leaders, who said he failed to condemn the US-Israeli joint attack on Iran that sparked the global tensions.
Indian-flagged vessels have moved through the Strait of Hormuz despite the ongoing war, with several ships expected to reach Indian ports in the coming days.
