RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has called on India to accept modernity rooted in civilisational ethos while addressing a community reception in the Washington DC Metro Area.

The event, themed 'India's Global Vision & Role in the Emerging World: Civilizational Foundations for Prospering Together,' brought together scholars and community leaders, including Walter K Anderson and Walter Russell Mead.

Hosabale highlighted India's historical experience of coexistence, citing examples of Parsis, Tibetans, and other minority groups who have been treated with respect and dignity in the country.

He emphasized India's global outlook, stating that Indians have contributed to nation-building in countries they have lived in and have lived in peace and harmony with the host society.

Hosabale called for India's rise in the global order, stating that the country must be a self-confident, prosperous society, united, harmonious, and people.

He concluded by expressing hope that India will be capable of playing a historic role in the world, particularly in areas such as family values, health, and yoga.
