The first International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit, scheduled for June 1 in New Delhi, has been postponed due to the Fourth India–Africa Forum Summit being rescheduled. The decision was made in consultation with the African Union and its Commission.
The summit was expected to bring together 13 heads of state to discuss big cat conservation, with the adoption of the first-ever "Delhi Declaration on Big Cat Conservation" being a key outcome.
The International Big Cat Alliance, established by the Government of India in 2024, aims to facilitate collaboration among range countries and stakeholders for the conservation of big cats.
New dates for the summit will be announced after consultations with participating countries and stakeholders.
