The West Asia conflict has become a major point of contention between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking in Gujarat, PM Modi credited India's 'effective' foreign policy and 'unwavering unity' of citizens for keeping the situation under control despite global difficulties.

He accused the Congress of wishing for the conflict to escalate for political gain, likening them to 'political vultures'.

Rahul Gandhi, however, warned that a 'financial earthquake' is coming due to the conflict, which will affect fuel prices and inflation.

He questioned the government's efforts to protect citizens, claiming that PM Modi is 'run by' US President Donald Trump.
