Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack on its first anniversary, saying India will never bow to forces spreading hatred and fear.

Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and assured that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

He asserted that the entire nation stands united against terrorism and will continue to do so, and that India will stand against forces seeking to spread hatred and fear with even greater strength, unity, and resolve.

The Pahalgam attack was carried out by Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba last year, killing 26 innocent people, mostly tourists from across India.

India had carried out a retaliatory military offensive against Pakistan named Operation Sindoor, in which Indian armed forces destroyed military and terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
