Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kaynes Technology’s semiconductor manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking a significant step towards self-reliance in the global semiconductor market.

The ₹20,000 crore infrastructure projects across Gujarat include roads, railways, power, water supply, and urban development, with the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway being a notable addition.

The Sanand plant, built at a cost of ₹3,300 crore, has a production capacity of 6.33 million units per day and has already secured export orders, making it operational from day one.

Modi also highlighted India’s decision to join the Pax Silica initiative, a US-led coalition to secure the global silicon supply chain, and the growth of the semiconductor market, estimated to reach $100 billion by the end of the decade.

Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Teerth in Gandhinagar, which houses artefacts, manuscripts, and historical collections related to Jainism.
