After a disruption triggered by the US-Iran conflict, flights from the UAE have resumed in India. Etihad Airlines operated evacuation flights from Abu Dhabi, with EY216 landing in Delhi at 8 pm, EY204 in Mumbai at 7:40 pm, EY334 in Kochi at 10:10 pm, and EY238 in Bengaluru at 9:45 pm. Emirates Airlines also planned to operate a full bank of overnight services between Dubai and five major Indian cities on March 2. Their flagship Airbus A380 aircraft will be used on the Mumbai and Bengaluru sector, with EK500 departing Dubai at 8 pm to arrive in Mumbai at 12:35 am IST on March 3. The Indian civil aviation ministry has been closely monitoring the situation and has facilitated relief for passengers. Due to the ongoing situation, 357 flights planned for operation on March 2 were canceled. However, the ministry has addressed 559 grievances through AirSewa, social media platforms, and dedicated helpline calls. Air India has extended the temporary suspension of all its flights to and from the Middle East region until March 3, 2026. However, the airline commenced scheduled operations to all its destinations in the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK on Monday. Air India Express will resume flight operations to and from Muscat from Tuesday. Meanwhile, Akasa Air and SpiceJet have canceled their flights to and from certain cities in the Middle East. Passengers are advised to check official airline channels for accurate updates regarding cancellations and rescheduling. The Indian government has asked all airlines to maintain transparent communication with passengers and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements concerning refunds, rescheduling, and passenger assistance.
