A 24-year-old Iranian trader, Pervez Ali Aman, has expressed his desire for peace to prevail amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Aman, who has been touring India to build trade relations, is anxious about his family staying in Iran and Afghanistan.
Aman, who has been living in India since 2013, has been selling dry fruits, cardamoms, saffron, and silver jewelry at various fairs across the country. He has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the conflict and has praised India for being a safe and good place for trade.
Another trader, Zakir Ulla Karimi, also echoed similar sentiments, expressing his concern for his family members who are still in Tehran. The US and Israel launched widespread strikes on Iran's missile infrastructure, military sites, and leadership on February 28, leading to the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
