A devastating family tragedy has struck Kerala's Kannur district, where four members, including two children, were found dead under mysterious circumstances. The victims, identified as 56-year-old Usha KT, her 36-year-old son Kaladharan KT, and their two children aged six and two, were discovered dead at their home in Ramanthali on Monday. According to initial reports, the bodies were found with signs of hanging, while the children showed symptoms of poisoning. Further investigation revealed that the children were given poison before the adults died by hanging. A post-mortem examination confirmed the poisoning of the two children. A suicide note found by the police revealed marital problems between Kaladharan and his wife, who had been living separately for eight months. The court had granted custody of the children to Kaladharan's wife, but the children wanted to stay with their father and had returned to his home recently. This tension, coupled with a complaint lodged by Kaladharan's wife against his father for allegedly misbehaving with the children, may have contributed to the tragic events. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation. The bodies were handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination. As the investigation unfolds, the reasons behind this horrific incident remain unclear, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions and a devastated community.
