Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar announced that the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has agreed to provide two complimentary tickets per MLA for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 28.

The decision comes after MLAs objected to buying tickets online for the matches, with speaker UT Khader requesting the government to ensure every MLA receives four VIP tickets.

RCB will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening fixture of IPL 2026 in Bengaluru on March 28.

Shivakumar said that he requested two tickets per MLA so they can take family members, and that representatives typically received one ticket each.

Legislators will also gain access to a designated stand at the stadium, following negotiations with the KSCA.
