The internal feud within Lalu Prasad Yadav's family has intensified following the RJD's disappointing performance in the Bihar Assembly polls. Rohini Acharya, the RJD leader's daughter, has announced her decision to quit politics, citing 'filthy abuses' from her family members. NDA leaders have accused Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu's son and RJD leader, of being unpopular within his family and making Rohini a scapegoat for the party's defeat. BJP leader Nitin Nabin said, 'Tejashwi Yadav's unpopularity within his family raises questions about his ability to lead the party forward.' Bihar Minister Ashok Chaudhary termed the situation 'unfortunate' and called it an 'internal matter' of the family. Rohini's decision to step away from politics has sparked a debate within Bihar's political circles, particularly after the RJD secured only 25 seats in the 243-member state assembly. BJP MP Jagdambika Pal alleged that Rohini was made a scapegoat for the party's crushing defeat, while BJP leader Dr Guru Prakash Paswan said the episode reflected an internal crisis within the RJD. The comments come at a time when the ruling NDA has secured a three-fourths majority in the 243-member House, with 202 seats. The RJD has yet to respond to Rohini's allegations, adding to the speculation surrounding the party's future in Bihar's politics.
