A shocking incident unfolded in Tripura's Gomati district when a 26-year-old man allegedly shot his girlfriend dead before taking his own life. According to police, the tragic event occurred after the couple's parents arranged their marriages with other partners. Shohel Miah, 26, and his girlfriend Jannat Akhtar, 26, were found dead in a vehicle in the Holashet area. While Jannat succumbed to her injuries, Shohel died at the Gomati district hospital. A police investigation revealed that Shohel used a pistol to take his own life after shooting Jannat. Authorities have yet to rule out the possibility of a third party's involvement. However, it appears that the incident was linked to their troubled love affair.
