West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed confidence in her party's victory in the state assembly elections, despite exit polls predicting a close contest between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP.

Banerjee accused the BJP of 'fixing' the exit polls and alleged that raids were conducted in her constituency, Bhabanipur, the 'entire night'. She urged her party workers to stay together and keep a close watch on the counting process, warning that the BJP might try to swap EVMs or change data in computers.

Banerjee announced that she will personally guard the EVM strongrooms if need be and asked her party workers to do the same. She also stated that the Trinamool Congress will form the government after the results are announced on May 4.

According to various exit polls, the BJP is expected to win between 118 and 175 seats, while the TMC may win between 99 and 187 seats. However, the polls also predict a close contest between the two main parties.
