Mamata Unveils ₹1,500 Monthly Allowance for Unemployed 10th-Pass Youth in Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a monthly allowance of ₹1,500 for unemployed young job seekers aged 21-40 who have passed their secondary exams. The allowance will be granted from March 7, and those still studying under the Yuva Sathi scheme will also receive the amount. Mamata said her government had created employment opportunities, reducing unemployment in Bengal by 40%. The state government has provided skill training to 40 lakh people, with 10 lakh already employed. Mamata also highlighted the state's growth in small and medium-scale industries, with 1.5 crore residents working in the sector.
