Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for early peace in West Asia during a phone call with Dutch counterpart Rob Jetten, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties.

The conversation marked the first between Modi and Jetten, who became Prime Minister last month.

India and the Netherlands have strengthened cooperation in areas like water, health, clean energy, defence, and security.

Modi highlighted the potential of their partnership in semiconductors, mega water projects, green hydrogen, and talent mobility.

India has pushed for dialogue and diplomacy to end the US-Israel war against Iran and ensure unimpeded supply of energy and commodities through the region.

Dutch PM Jetten noted that India-Netherlands relations are growing stronger, with a strategic partnership including defence, water management, innovation, and trade.
