Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has assured the family of a 33-year-old woman from Noida, found dead in her marital home in Bhopal, of full government support. He also announced a CBI probe into the case.

The woman's family has been demanding a second post-mortem examination, alleging mental harassment, abuse, and dowry demands by her husband and in-laws.

The Bhopal Police had asked the family to take custody of the body, citing concerns over decomposition due to the lack of ultra-low temperature storage facilities at AIIMS Bhopal.

The woman, who married Bhopal-based Samarth Singh in December 2025, died on May 12. Her family has accused her in-laws of dowry-related abuse and harassment.

A FIR was registered against her husband and mother-in-law under charges related to dowry death and harassment.
