Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Indian counterpart Narendra Modi for his unwavering support during the escalating conflict with Iran. Netanyahu visited Beit Shemesh on Monday, a day after an Iranian missile attack that claimed 9 lives. In a statement, Netanyahu praised Modi for standing by the truth and for the strong bond between the people of India and Israel. He also acknowledged speaking with Modi and other regional leaders in the aftermath of the attack. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for targeting Netanyahu's office, along with an Israeli Air Force commander's location. The IRGC used Kheibar missiles in the attack, according to their statement. This development comes amidst India's concerns over recent regional tensions. Prime Minister Modi had a phone call with Netanyahu on Sunday, conveying India's concerns and emphasizing the priority of civilian safety. Modi reiterated the need for an early end to hostilities. India's opposition parties have been critical of Modi's policies, with some accusing him of betraying India's values and interests by visiting Israel ahead of the US-Israel military attack on Iran. However, the Indian government has maintained its commitment to the safety and well-being of civilians in the region.
