The Indian National Congress, led by Rahul Gandhi, has called for the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the CBSE On-Screen Marking system row.

The opposition party accused Pradhan of being accountable for the irregularities in CBSE and having "no right to remain in his position."

CBSE officials were transferred amid the scandal, but the opposition claims it is a 'cover-up' and that the minister should be held accountable.

Other opposition leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, also joined the call for Pradhan's resignation.

The controversy began when two teenagers exposed the board's faulty systems, alleging irregularities in CBSE's OSM portal.
