Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Divas by recognizing the significant contribution of tribal society in India's freedom movement. He emphasized that tribal pride has been an integral part of the country's consciousness for thousands of years, citing their unwavering commitment to national honor, self-respect, and self-rule during pivotal moments in history. Modi criticized previous Congress-led governments for neglecting the tribal community, leading to widespread malnutrition, limited access to education, and a lack of development in many tribal regions. He assured that the current BJP government prioritizes tribal welfare and has taken concrete steps to empower the community. On the same day, PM Modi inspected the under-construction Bullet Train Station in Surat, reviewing the progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. This ambitious project aims to connect major cities, reducing travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to nearly two hours and boosting regional development. The project features advanced engineering techniques, minimal land disturbance, and enhanced safety measures, with 326 km of viaduct work and 17 river bridges already completed.
