Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at Trinamool Congress (TMC) saying his jhalmuri gave a 'thunderous shock' to the party. Addressing a public meeting in West Bengal's Krishnanagar, PM Modi said, 'I ate the jhal muri, but the jhal hit TMC.'
He accused TMC of sheltering 'infiltrators' and promoting 'maha jungle raj.' PM Modi urged the people of Bengal to choose the BJP-led NDA as its government and promised citizenship under CAA to the Matua and Namashudra communities if BJP is elected to power.
PM Modi's jhalmuri stop during his election campaign trail in West Bengal had triggered a reaction from TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, who called it 'scripted.'
