Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked the Opposition for what he called the 'foeticide' of the Centre's women's reservation bill. The bill failed to clear Lok Sabha amid a united front from the Opposition.

PM Modi claimed the bill was an attempt to give more voice to every state in Parliament, ensuring equal distribution of power. However, he accused the Congress and its allies of committing foeticide of this honest attempt.

He also hit out at Opposition parties like the Congress, TMC, SP, and DMK, calling them culprits of the Constitution and the Nari Shakti. PM Modi said the women of the country will give a befitting reply to Congress and its allies.

The prime minister further stated that women had seen how parties like the Congress, the TMC, and the DMK celebrated their selfish politics against women's empowerment.

PM Modi said the Opposition has committed a sin by opposing women's reservation and will surely be punished for this. He added that though the government could not get 66 per cent of the votes in Lok Sabha, but the government has the support of women.
