Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in close communication with several West Asian leaders, including Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, amidst escalating tensions in the region. Modi condemned the recent attacks on both countries, which were in retaliation for the US-Israel air strikes on Iran. In a series of calls, Modi also spoke with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Oman, urging them to exercise restraint and promote regional peace. The Indian Prime Minister expressed concern for the well-being of the Indian community in these countries, which numbers over 10 million. Modi's calls came a day after he spoke with the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, condemning the attacks on the UAE and expressing solidarity with the country. India has maintained a cautious stance on the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, instead emphasizing the importance of respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity. As tensions in the region continue to escalate, Indian missions in several West Asian countries have issued advisories, urging Indian citizens to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel. With over 40,000 Indians living in Israel and around 10,000 in Iran, the Indian government is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of its citizens.
