Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has accused the NDA government of attempting to alter India's electoral map and take away representation from certain sections of society.

Gandhi alleged that the BJP's delimitation plans are a 'shameful' attempt to change the country's electoral map, and that the government is trying to ensure that the caste census has nothing to do with representation for the next 15 years.

He questioned the BJP's stance on giving political representation to OBCs and Dalits, despite considering them as Hindus in their politics.

Gandhi also attacked the government's move to pass a women's bill, saying it is an attempt to change the electoral map of India by using and hiding behind India's women.

He claimed that the BJP's agenda is 'Manuvaad over Samvidhan' and that they are trying to deprive OBCs and Dalits of their rightful place in society.

Gandhi also referred to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement on the caste census, saying that the point is not whether houses have castes, but whether the caste census should be used for representation in Vidhan Sabhas and Lok Sabha.

The LoP called women a central force in 'our national imagination, in our national perspective' and praised his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for making Shah smile during her speech.
