Rain Relief on the Horizon: Bengaluru to See Scattered Showers from April 28

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a change in weather for Bengaluru, with scattered rain expected to hit the city from April 28 to May 1.

According to IMD officials, clear to partly cloudy skies will persist until April 27, with temperatures ranging from 35°C to 37°C and moderate humidity levels.

From April 28 to May 1, isolated areas are likely to receive light to moderate rain, mostly in the afternoon or evening, with winds reaching 40 to 50 kmph.

Daytime temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-30s, with little change in minimum temperatures.

The rain relief may vary by region, with coastal districts experiencing light rain and winds reaching up to 30 to 40 kmph.

In the northern interior, rainfall may be limited to isolated pockets, while parts of the southern interior may see light showers and gusty winds.

Forecasters have also indicated the possibility of thunderstorms in isolated parts of south interior Karnataka on April 30, with winds reaching 30 to 40 kmph.

Parts of the state have already experienced severe weather, with a brief but intense storm causing widespread damage to plantations in Bhadravati taluk of Shivamogga district.

Chikkamagaluru also reported heavy rain on April 27.
