New Delhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh called for enhanced public-private partnership to boost India's sports economy, addressing a gathering at the Aditya Birla Memorial Polo Cup.

He said the government has fostered a sports culture within the country, providing opportunities, resources, and respect to athletes and youth.

Singh called for collaboration between the government, private sector, and social groups to elevate India's prestige on the international stage and provide a new direction to the nation's sports economy.

He noted that polo is a heritage sport of India, deeply rooted in the nation's sporting traditions, and that the Indian Army has contributed significantly to preserving its rich heritage.

Singh expressed confidence that working together, they will foster a positive culture for Polo and other sports in India, enabling young talent to excel and bring glory to the nation.
