Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Rohini Acharya has stunned her party and the nation by announcing her resignation from politics, citing a family feud with her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his close aide Sanjay Yadav. The shocking announcement comes a day after the RJD's disappointing performance in the 2025 Bihar assembly polls, where the party managed to secure only 25 seats - its worst electoral performance in the last decade. In a dramatic post on X, Rohini attributed her decision to quit politics to the alleged pressure from Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Alam, a close friend of Tejashwi Yadav. Rohini claimed that she was 'disowned' by her family, and that the blame lies with Sanjay Yadav and Rameez. At a press conference at the Patna airport, Rohini expressed her frustration, stating that she has 'no family' and that the questions should be directed towards Sanjay Yadav, Rameez, and Tejashwi Yadav. She also made serious allegations, without taking any names, saying that anyone who mentions Sanjay Yadav and Rameez is 'disgraced', 'abused'. A leader from the opposition Grand Alliance revealed that there may be more to the Yadav family feud, suggesting that Rohini's issues with Sanjay Yadav stem from his stature as a key aide of Tejashwi Yadav. This is not the first time tensions have flared between Rohini and Sanjay Yadav. Earlier, there were speculations that Rohini was upset with her brother Tejashwi and his close aide Sanjay over not being given more clout in the party. However, they had later dismissed reports of tensions between them. Sanjay Yadav has yet to react to Rohini's claims and announcement, leaving the RJD and the nation wondering what's next for the party and the Yadav family.
