A shocking Special Investigation Team (SIT) report has uncovered a serious conspiracy to falsely implicate Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in a 2016 case. The report, submitted just before former DGP Rashmi Shukla's retirement, recommends charges against former top cops Sanjay Pandey, Laxmikant Patil, and Sardar Patil for allegedly plotting to frame the leaders in a false case. According to the SIT report, the attempts to frame Fadnavis intensified during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government's tenure and gained momentum after Sanjay Pandey became Mumbai Police Commissioner. This comes as Maharashtra gears up for municipal corporation elections, with voting set for January 15 and counting on January 16. In the midst of election campaigning, Eknath Shinde visited Pune and emphasized that the Mahayuti alliance is contesting on the plank of development, aiming to emerge victorious in both Mumbai and Pune. The Shiv Sena chief stressed that his party and the BJP are contesting with full strength, focusing on the work carried out during his tenure as Chief Minister and Devendra Fadnavis's tenure as Deputy Chief Minister.
