Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi late on Tuesday, sources from the hospital confirmed.
According to sources, the Rajya Sabha MP is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, with her condition being closely monitored.
This is not the first time Gandhi has been hospitalized at the same facility; she was admitted in January due to respiratory issues.
Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Ajay Swaroop, stated that a detailed medical examination revealed Sonia Gandhi's bronchial asthma had been mildly exacerbated due to the combined effects of cold weather and pollution in Delhi.
As a precautionary measure, doctors decided to admit her for observation and further medical management.
