The thrill for speed and social media fame claimed two lives in Gujarat after a car accident. 20-year-old Avadh Tiwari was killed when his car crashed into a farmhouse wall in Rajkot district, reportedly driven at 150 km/hour. The incident occurred after he posted a high-speed driving video on Instagram.
Friends and acquaintances posted condolence messages on the same Instagram story, while the third occupant, 20-year-old Akshay Vaghela, was injured and undergoing treatment. Two people, including Tiwari, died in the crash.
Tiwari had a criminal history and was facing cases of extortion and attempt to murder. The car, a Hyundai Verna, was not yet registered, and police are attempting to trace the owner.
Investigations revealed that the driver was recording the video while driving, indicating reckless behavior. The phone is locked, and the reel circulating on social media will be verified during the investigation.
