The Delhi High Court has directed the Centre and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to consider a plea for a specific policy governing spy-thriller films.

The petition, filed by a Sashastra Seema Bal personnel, argued that scenes in the movie 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' could reveal information related to the armed forces, compromising national security.

The court observed that although the movie is fictional, its impact cannot be ignored and suggested that the CBFC should frame guidelines.

The Centre and CBFC have been asked to treat the petition as a representation and take an appropriate decision on it.
