A 30-year-old teacher was found dead with gunshot wounds at a retired CISF sub-inspector's residence in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit. The victim's family claims that the death was a result of a murder, allegedly due to an affair with the ex-officer's daughter. However, police suspect a financial dispute as the motive behind the incident. According to the police, Sukhdev Singh, the victim, regularly visited the house of retired CISF sub-inspector Puran Singh to run IELTS coaching classes. The victim's father, Harjinder Singh, alleged that Puran Singh suspected an affair between Sukhdev and his daughter and had been harassing him over phone calls. On the other hand, Puran Singh claimed that Sukhdev pulled out a revolver in anger and fired, hitting him and his wife. However, the police reported that one bullet passed through the victim's chest and struck the wall. A case of murder has been registered against Puran Singh and his wife, and the retired officer has been taken into custody. The victim's father filed a complaint, and the wife of the accused has been hospitalised. The revolver used in the incident has been seized by the police.
