Thousands Protest Across India Over Killing of Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Thousands of Shia Muslims took to the streets across India to protest against the killing of Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after strikes by the United States and Israel.

Protesters in Kashmir, Lucknow, Bhopal, and Hyderabad mourned the death of the revered religious leader, filling the streets with red, black, and yellow flags and carrying pictures of Khamenei.

Security forces were deployed across the cities, but the protests remained peaceful with no untoward incidents reported.

Leaders from Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh appealed to all communities to remain calm and uphold peace.

Protests were also held in Ladakh, Aligarh, and Hyderabad, with people gathering to condemn the joint US-Israel strike on Iran and raise slogans against the US and Israel.
