The magic number to form a government is 118 out of 234 total seats. The DMK-led alliance is contesting 164 constituencies, with Congress in 28 seats. On the other side, AIADMK is contesting 167 seats, BJP 27, PMK 18, and AMMK 11.
Key constituencies, including Cumbum and Periyakulam, have reported the following results: Cumbum saw JAKKAIYAN S.T.K. (AIADMK) win with 2346 votes, while Periyakulam elected SABARI IYNGARAN G. (TVK) with 7075 votes.
