Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has dismissed the opposition's tactics of creating violence and tension, saying they will not suppress the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing a public meeting, Saha claimed that extremist organisations were brought into the mainstream by the BJP, while the opposition uses divisive tactics to create chaos. The BJP, Saha said, is committed to establishing a healthy politics in the Northeastern state and has implemented various schemes for the indigenous communities. The Chief Minister highlighted the people's trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, saying that the party's influence is growing stronger day by day. Saha also addressed the allegations that the BJP has not provided funds to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TAADC) areas, saying that the government has allocated 39.06 percent of the state budget for the region. He confidently predicted that the BJP will win all 28 seats in the TTAADC areas, citing the people's enthusiasm at the meeting. In a bold statement, Saha said that the more the opposition tries to stop the BJP, the more the party will push forward. He declared that the regional parties cannot suppress the BJP by creating tension, beating people, and creating violence, and that the party will continue to grow stronger in the state. The Chief Minister's statement comes as the BJP has seen a surge in support from indigenous communities in the state, with around 2,499 tribal brothers and sisters joining the party in a recent program. Saha said that the progress of the janajatis cannot be stopped by hoisting flags, organising water agitations, or spreading lies, and that the BJP will continue to work towards establishing a healthy politics in the state.
