Nineteen Indians were among 35 people arrested in the UAE for posting allegedly misleading video clips on social media during the Iran-US war.
The UAE authorities had warned residents not to film attack sites, share unverified information, and circulate footage of interceptions online.
Attorney-General Dr Hamad Saif Al Shamsi ordered the arrest of 25 people, including 17 Indians, under various charges.
The defendants were divided into three groups: sharing real clips, fabricating AI-generated content, and praising a hostile state.
Those arrested could face imprisonment and a fine of at least AED 1,00,000.
