Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai was rushed to a private hospital in Lucknow on Friday after a sudden illness.
According to party spokesperson Manish Hindvi, Rai fainted at his residence due to low sodium levels.
Rai had attended a conference earlier in the day, where he complained of restlessness, pain, and discomfort.
He was admitted to the emergency ward and later shifted to the ICU, where his condition remains stable.
