US Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited the Taj Mahal in Agra on Monday morning with his wife Jeanette Rubio, as part of his ongoing four-day diplomatic tour of India.
During the visit, Rubio met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, discussing regional and global security, as well as strengthening economic ties.
The two leaders focused on energy security, with the US aiming to help diversify India's supplies amid the global energy crisis triggered by the US war.
Rubio also invited Modi to the White House during their meeting and expressed the US's determination to reach a structured diplomatic agreement on Iran's nuclear programme.
