US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that Washington is ready to sell as much energy as India is willing to buy ahead of his visit to India.

Rubio described India as a 'great ally and partner' and said that his visit would give him a chance to meet the ministers from the Quad nations.

He added that the US wants to do more with India and is already in talks to increase energy exports, with opportunities also available with Venezuelan oil.

Rubio will be visiting India from May 23 to May 26 and will meet with Quad leaders, including India's external affairs minister S Jaishankar, Australian foreign minister Penny Wong, and Japanese foreign minister Motegi Toshimitsu.
