In a bid to protect students from the harsh cold wave, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the closure of all schools in the state up to class 12 until January 1. The decision applies to ICSE, CBSE, and UP Board schools across the state. With temperatures plummeting, the Chief Minister has prioritized the safety of children, stressing that no negligence would be tolerated. To address the situation, CM Yogi has instructed senior officials to personally visit affected areas and assess the ground reality. In addition to school closures, the government has implemented a range of measures to support vulnerable residents. These include: * Ensuring bonfires and blankets are available at public places in every district * Operating night shelters with adequate facilities, including bedding, blankets, and cleanliness * Providing timely relief materials and shelter to those in need CM Yogi has emphasized the importance of ensuring no person in the state sleeps outdoors during this biting cold. The government is working to provide support to the poor and vulnerable, with the Chief Minister himself overseeing the efforts.
