Yathindra Siddaramaiah, son of outgoing Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has expressed hope for a cabinet role, citing assurance from Rahul Gandhi. Speaking to reporters, Yathindra Siddaramaiah stated that he was not looking for a specific portfolio and would be happy with any role assigned to him. When asked about the possibility of becoming Deputy Chief Minister, he replied, 'No.'

DK Shivakumar, the newly elected leader of the Congress Legislative Party in Karnataka, is set to meet the Congress high command in New Delhi to discuss cabinet formation. Sources suggest that a coordination committee may be formed in the state, and a discussion will be held about the appointments of Deputy Chief Ministers. The party leadership is also considering an OBC candidate for the position of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president.

Rajya Sabha MP Naseer Hussain stated that the party leadership will take necessary decisions regarding the transfer of power in Karnataka, ensuring a smooth transition. The cabinet will be formed with due consideration to caste, community, social, and regional balance.
