Peaceful Polls: Maharashtra and Jharkhand Record Impressive Voter Turnout

Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly elections concluded peacefully yesterday, with both states recording impressive voter turnouts. Maharashtra recorded a 65.02% polling, and Jharkhand saw a 68.45% voting, exceeding its previous record.

The highest voting district in Maharashtra was Kolhapur, with a 76.25% voting turnout, and the highest voting district in Jharkhand was Jamtara, with a 77.29% vote.

The elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand were held for 288 and 81 assembly seats, respectively. In Maharashtra, voting began at 7 am and concluded at 6 pm, while in Jharkhand, polling started at 7 am and ended at 5 pm. The counting of votes for both states will take place on November 23.
